Radio Garden is a good source of free internet radio. This one takes you directly to a radio station near Lannion in Brittany where I once lived.

I will use some materials from this coursebook during the course. You might like to get a copy yourselves. Amazon sell it for between £10 and £15.

This class will take place as we decided not meet on December 11th, but it will need to be arranged at Admiral Lord Nelson School. (Karen Hills has confirmed that this is set up for us.)

I have asked that the class during half term be arranged. Hopefully there will be some news on this.

Today loosely based on the coursebook 'Voilà' we will look at:

* Formal and informal greetings

* Showing someone around town

Tuesday October 2nd

This is the first lesson and will take place at Admiral Lord Nelson School as Portsmouth College has its Open Evening. As this is the first class (others having started last week) we need to decide when to put the 10th lesson in (October 23rd or December 11th), You need to fill in and check your registration papers and I need to check identity.

During this lesson we will look at what you already may know, basic greetings. Giving your name and we'll begin to learn the alphabet.

We'll discuss grammar points such as masculine and feminine nouns; Informal and formal register (tu and vous)
