Last week, with Claire, you began to look at the translation of recipes from French into English and some of the difficulties and issues which might come up while doing this...
Could you add your translations to this shared folder?
Today, together, we will aim to find the best way to translate a recipe... Perhaps for something we may never have come across ourselves.
What might the issues be?
Can you think of any difficulties you may encounter?
(This one uses ingredients available in France, so it is not really poutine.)
A real Quebecois is doing the recipe for authentic Poutine Quebec-style sauce (he goes on to try various sorts of cheese that could be substituted for the curds ... (He does mention the seal cotton wool once, so be warned!)
It would be best if you aimed to complete your translations of the Poutine Recipe text and upload your results here.
If all is complete - Can you think of how you might put this video (above) into English...? What would you need? What might the issues be?
