Music in Lockdown

Bands, singers and choirs have been working tirelessly in Portsmouth and her twin cities to keep people's spirits up during this unusual time.

We should have been holding a concert featuring many singers and acts from Portsmouth and we had hoped our twin cities at St Mary's Church on Sunday, May 17th 2020. So, in lieu of this, here are some musical events which you can all enjoy.

Portsmouth News featured an article this weekend on our link with Duisburg from a guest reporter Harald Kuest from Duisburg.

There is also this video (below) and page made by the Portsmouth City Council events team.

An easy to share link to this page is: tinyurl.com/ecovmusic

As always our main landing page for further information on all we do is: tinyurl.com/portectc Here, I am starting this page by featuring some of the artists I have met or know personally. Many of them have done much to help the cause of twinning carry on over the years and some still are now and plan to in the future.

If you know of other bands, singers, choirs in Portsmouth, Caen or Duisburg who have been doing online gigs, performances or concerts, please do let me have links or other info by email here or by any other means of contact you may have with me.

Some people have their settings to not permit embedding on other websites. In those cases, the videos can be seen by clicking on the link instead. Sometimes this is caused by online robots who deem the music contains copyrighted performances of other people's music!
