Level 4
You will embark on your course in Teaching Block 2.
You will spend the TB2 consolidation week in intensive ITT training.
You will spend two weeks in June of this academic year (during the last two weeks of the University examination period) on a mini familiarisation placement in a school.
Level 5 M33916
In TB1, you will have some intensive ITT Training sessions with the ITT department from the original School of Education and with me from the School of Languages for specific MFL teaching input.
In TB2, you will begin a one-day-per-week placement. As your university mentor, I will continue to support you with visits and observations. From June, you will spend seven weeks on a placement in a school.
Level 6 M33890
In TB1, you will start with the incoming PGCE students at the beginning of September.
After the initial three weeks, you will go on to do up to two days per week on placement in a school. You will also spend some further days with the PGCE students at the university, and I will be your mentor for your observations, feedback, and professional interviews.
In TB2, you will continue using the same pattern as above. Once the first two weeks of final examinations are complete, you will embark on a final school placement, and I will continue to be your mentor.
