You will begin your year with the PGCE Students in early September of the academic year.

After intensive input with them, you will embark on a more condensed teaching placement at a school.

In some cases, this may be the same school you were in during your Level 5 year.

In others, it will need to be a new school placement.

However it is arranged, you will need to have had experience in at least two different schools. For people completing in 2025, you must have completed a minimum of 120 days on placement.

For those completing it after 2025, this number is 150.

For Phase Two, you will spend one to two days on school placement, with some Fridays requiring you to be at the University to attend the PGCE training sessions.

For the academic year 2024-2025...

These days are Friday:

8th, 22nd November

6th December

Monday 6th to Friday 10th January (tbc)

Friday:

17th, 24th and 31st January.
